Who we are
The Kelowna Founders Club ("the Club", "we", "us") is a community organization based in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
What we collect
When you join the Club, RSVP to an event, buy a ticket, or contact us, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, city, optionally your birthday, and, if you tell us you're a business owner, information about your business. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account. When you buy a ticket, payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
How we use it
We use your information to run the Club: confirming RSVPs and tickets, sending event announcements and reminders by email and text message, operating the member directory, and responding when you contact us. We may use software tools, including AI-assisted tools, to help us draft and manage communications. A human reviews outbound campaigns before they are sent.
The member directory
If you are a member, your name, city, and business information (if provided) are visible to other signed-in members in the community directory. Your email address, phone number, and birthday are never shown to other members.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the Club work: Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in Canada), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (text messages), Vercel (website hosting), and Anthropic (AI-assisted drafting tools). Each provider processes data only to provide their service to us.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails or reply STOP to any text message at any time. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us through the contact page. We comply with the Personal Information Protection Act (British Columbia) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Retention & security
We keep member records while you remain a member and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete them. Data is stored with access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
