Kelowna Founders Club

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 18, 2026

1. Who we are

The Kelowna Founders Club ("the Club", "we", "us") is operated by Karsen Koltun Marketing in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. By joining the Club, buying a ticket or membership, attending an event, or using this website, you agree to these terms.

2. Free membership

Basic membership in the Kelowna Founders Club is free and open to anyone interested in entrepreneurship in the Okanagan. By joining, you agree to provide accurate information and to receive Club communications by email and text message; you can opt out of either at any time by unsubscribing or replying STOP. We may decline or revoke membership at our discretion to keep the community safe and constructive.

3. Inner Circle membership

The Inner Circle is our paid tier: a yearly subscription billed through Stripe that includes entry to every Founders Club event, a mastermind seat, Member Deals, the Opportunities board, and the other benefits listed on the membership page. The charge appears on your statement as KARSENS MARKETING. Your membership renews automatically each year at the price you joined at, and we send you a reminder about two weeks before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime by replying to any of our emails or texts or through the contact page; cancelling stops future renewals and your benefits continue to the end of the year you've paid for. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us and we'll look into it.

4. Events & tickets

Some events are free with RSVP; others require a paid ticket processed through Stripe, at the price shown on the event page. Tickets are for the named attendee. Unless an event page says otherwise, tickets are refundable up to 48 hours before the event start time; contact us to request a refund. If we cancel an event, paid tickets are refunded in full. Event details such as time, venue, and speakers may change, and we'll notify registered attendees of material changes. Where alcohol is served at an event, it is available only to guests of legal drinking age, and venue staff may check identification.

5. Masterminds & confidentiality

Mastermind groups are confidential by rule: what members share inside a group stays inside the group. Repeating another member's private business or personal information outside your group is grounds for removal from the Club. The same discretion is expected with anything a member tells you in confidence at a Club event.

6. Member content, deals & the directory

Content you post to the Club, including your directory profile and Opportunities board posts, must be accurate and yours to share. You keep ownership of it and give us permission to display it on the platform to run the Club. Member Deals and opportunities are offered and fulfilled by the members and businesses behind them; the Club is not a party to those transactions and does not endorse or guarantee them, so do your own diligence before you buy, sell, invest, or partner.

7. Community conduct

The Club exists to help people build. Harassment, discrimination, spam, unsolicited mass outreach to members, or misuse of the member directory or messaging are grounds for immediate removal without refund.

8. Photography & recording

Events may be photographed and recorded. By attending, you consent to the Club using event photos and video, which may include your likeness, on this website, on the Club's social media, and in Club promotional material. If you'd like an image of you removed, contact us and we'll take it down.

9. No professional advice

Content shared at events, in masterminds, in interviews, or on this website, including anything shared by speakers, is for general information only and is not legal, financial, tax, or investment advice. Speakers' views are their own. Being in a room with successful people is a real advantage, but nothing here is a promise of business results, and decisions you make from what you hear are yours.

10. The website

This website is provided as is. We work to keep event details and other information accurate and current, but details can change and errors can happen; the event page and our direct confirmations to you are the most current source. Links to other websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Club, its operator, and its organizers are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from membership, event attendance, or use of this website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that British Columbia consumer law does not allow us to limit.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the current version. Material changes to paid membership terms take effect at your next renewal. Continued use of the site or membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Questions? Use the contact page.
